The Loch was founded in 2022 with the aim to redefine today’s salon experience. As a small independent studio, we work to our own vision of luxury; one that places you, the guest, at the centre of everything we do.
We create hair that speaks to your style and the way you want to feel, bringing out the best of your natural texture and colour.
OUR STORY
Richard and Louise met whilst working at a flagship Aveda salon in London and instantly identified a common vision with their work and service. Several years later, they decided to open the doors to The Loch; their first venture together.
Richard has over 15 years of experience with Aveda in the industry. He has garnered an ultra-loyal client base that trusts his hyper-personalised approach to hairdressing. He specialises in soft, textured shapes, classic colour services; using a variety of balayage and highlighting techniques to create seamless results that illuminate your hair’s natural hues.
Louise has over 15 years of industry experience. Coming from a Vidal Sassoon philosophy and background, she is known for her high-precision style of cutting and colouring. Alongside educating future generations at The Loch, Louise’s core focus is on natural suitability and wearable, effortless hair. Her advice has been featured in several publications, from Harper’s Bazaar to ELLE.
LUCIE JONES
LJ has been in the industry for 8 years and in that time has become an accomplished stylist & Aveda colour master. She is known across the capital for her seamless blonding and balayage expertise. LJ is also a leading authority in hair extensions – her advice on extensions has been featured in Harper’s Bazar & Cosmopolitan. SAM MCDONNELL
Sam has been in the industry for 18 years, exclusively with Aveda. She has extensive experience in all aspects of hairdressing – be it beautiful brunettes, lived in blondes, creative colour work all the way through bespoke haircutting & tape extensions. Having completed Aveda’s colour master course – Sam is a great representation of a true Aveda artist & will be working Saturdays only. @sammymachair
RACHEL TODISCO
Rachel has been in the industry for 16 years. In the last 4 years she has been educating exclusively for Aveda, supporting London salons & teams (including our own!) helping us all to grow our knowledge and expertise with the brand. Having never lost her love for working behind the chair – we are thrilled for her to join us at The Loch on Thursdays & Fridays. She is extensively experienced with all colour work – be it corrective colour, natural blondes/brondes & rich brunettes as well as proficient experience with hair –cutting & styling. @Racheltodiscohair

Whilst face shape is an integral part of our training, we also believe your lifestyle and focus on styling is taken into consideration, taking a step back from the fluff and putting our attention on how you will wear your hair between visits.
